Who these terms are with

WebWell and WebWell Plus are made and sold by Adnan Khan, an independent developer based in Karachi, Pakistan (“I”, “me”). By installing WebWell, using this website or buying WebWell Plus you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use them. Questions: info.adnanak@gmail.com.

The free extension

The WebWell extension is free to use. Its source code is public on GitHub under the MIT License, which lets you read, copy and change the code under that license’s terms. These terms don’t take any of those rights away. The WebWell name and logo are mine, so please don’t use them to suggest your own product is WebWell.

WebWell Plus

WebWell Plus is an optional upgrade that adds extra features to the extension. Everything that is free today stays free. Plus is unlocked with a license key that you paste into the extension. The key is checked inside your browser and no server is contacted.

• One payment. Plus is sold as a one-time purchase at the price shown on the WebWell Plus page at the time you buy. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal.
• “Lifetime”. This means you can use Plus for as long as WebWell Plus is offered and the extension works in your browser. I plan to keep it working, but I can’t promise a product forever, and browsers can change the rules extensions must follow. If I ever stop supporting Plus, I will say so on this website first.
• Personal license. A key is for you, on your own browsers and devices. Please don’t share it publicly, sell it or give it to people who haven’t paid, except where I have given someone a key myself.
• Keys I give away. I sometimes give keys to friends, family and others. These work the same way. I can end a gifted key, for example if it is shared, and I will tell the person if I do.
• Misuse. I may stop honouring a key that was bought with a stolen card, chargebacked, or shared widely.

Buying, payment and tax

Payments for WebWell Plus are handled by our payment provider, which acts as the reseller (the “merchant of record”). It takes your payment, collects any sales tax or VAT that applies, and sends you the receipt. Its own terms apply to the checkout. I never see your card details.

Refunds

You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of buying. See the refund policy for how.

Using WebWell

• Use WebWell for lawful purposes only.
• WebWell’s blocking and filtering are tools to help you focus. They are not a guarantee, and a PIN does not stop someone from removing the extension in the browser’s settings.
• Screen-time numbers are estimates based on what the browser reports and may not be exact.
• The optional AI chat and coach use Google’s service with your own key. Google’s terms apply to that, and AI answers can be wrong.
• Music from SoundCloud and Spotify is played through their own players. Their terms apply.

No warranty

WebWell and WebWell Plus are provided “as is”, without promises that they will be error free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. Software has bugs, and browsers change. Where the law gives you rights that can’t be removed, those rights stay.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, my total responsibility to you for any claim about WebWell or WebWell Plus is limited to the amount you paid for WebWell Plus, or zero if you only used the free extension. I am not responsible for indirect losses such as lost time, lost data or lost income. This doesn’t limit anything the law doesn’t allow me to limit.

Your data

Your browsing data stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall WebWell. You can export or reset it in Settings. The privacy policy lists exactly what is stored and when anything leaves your browser.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms. If a change matters, I will update the date at the top and note it on this website before it applies. A change won’t take away features you already bought.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, unless the law where you live gives you the right to rely on its own consumer protections. Please contact me first and I will do my best to sort it out.
